Niall McConell - Síol Na hÉireann

Niall McConnell is a dedicated sheep farmer, citizen journalist, and the founder and leader of Síol na hÉireann, Ireland’s pro-life nationalist movement committed to a sovereign, united, and Christian Ireland. Born and raised amid the rolling hills of County Donegal, Niall’s life has been deeply intertwined with the land, where he tends to his family farm in Castlefinn. From a young age, he immersed himself in Ireland’s rich history, becoming fluent in the Irish language and developing an unshakeable passion for preserving the nation’s ancient heritage, culture, and traditions against the encroachments of EU bureaucracy, liberalism, and anti-Irish ideologies

Charity Work

Niall’s commitment to his community shines through his extensive charity work, particularly during the COVID-19 crisis. As the pandemic intensified, he spearheaded the Irish Food Aid initiative, mobilizing hundreds of volunteers across counties like Donegal, Offaly, Dublin, Cork, and even cross-border in Antrim and Derry. This grassroots effort delivered tonnes of food donations directly to vulnerable families, with a special focus on the elderly and those with young children facing heightened hardships. Volunteers distributed colour-coded “I’m OK” and “I Need Help” cards to enable discreet check-ins and aid delivery, providing essential support where government resources fell short and earning widespread gratitude from those in need.

Vision

At the heart of Niall’s political vision is the steadfast belief that Ireland belongs to the Irish. He champions national sovereignty, a 32-county united Ireland free from foreign control, and policies that prioritize Irish families, farmers, and workers—such as tackling the housing crisis for our people, boosting high-quality local jobs, cherishing elders, and revitalizing Donegal’s tourism and infrastructure. As a devoted father, he also holds an unflinching pro-life stance, advocating vigorously for the right to life of the unborn, protecting the family unit, and promoting policies that encourage child-rearing in a nation rooted in Christian values.

Bravery

Niall’s bravery in standing up for putting Irish people first has not come without cost. Labeled a far-right extremist and ridiculed relentlessly by mainstream media for his unapologetic patriotism, he has faced smears, protests, and even graffiti attacks in communities like Derry’s Creggan Estate. Yet, his resolve remains unbroken. Increasingly, the public is seeing through the lies and distortions, recognizing Niall’s genuine dedication to Ireland’s future. This awakening has fueled a surge in support for Síol na hÉireann, with members joining en masse as the movement grows into a powerful voice for cultural preservation, family values, and true national independence.

Through his fearless journalism, political candidacy—including a bold independent run in Donegal’s 2024 general election—and tireless advocacy, Niall McConnell embodies the enduring spirit of Ireland: resilient, rooted, and ready to defend its people and heritage for generations to come.
